The fesco of the Pokémon GO Fest costs 1.5 million dollars to Niantic!

The celebration of the Pokémon GO Fest has been one of the most murky chapters in the history of Pokémon GO . Niantic , its developers, had to chant mea culpa and recognize that the event did not live up to expectations. However, it was not worth the apology: there were many players who traveled to Chicago to participate in the event, and Niantic has been forced to compensate, economically, for what happened last summer.

Although Niantic returned the amount of tickets to users, the company will allocate a total of 1,575,000 million dollars to cover the expenses of players who were affected by the unworthy events experienced in the event. The firm will open on May 25 a website that will detail the procedure to be followed for players, who must provide evidence of their stay at the event to receive compensation.

According to our companions of JeuxVideo, in case of not having to return the 1.5 million dollars allocated by Niantic to the users, what will be donated to two NGOs in Chicago . Pokémon GO has been one of the most explosive mobile phenomena of the last years: it has not stopped updating since its premiere in the summer of 2016, in which it became one of the phenomena of the moment.
