Shovel Knight exceeds two million games sold!

The excellent video game of Yacht Club triumphs, especially in PC and Nintendo consoles.


More than two million video games sold until the end of February 2018. This is the brand that has reached the fantastic Shovel Knight since it was put on sale in June 2014. "Now that we've sold two million copies of Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove ... wow, we started to believe that people might be enjoying it."

The indie studio has taken the opportunity to show the proportion of sales of Shovel Knight in the different platforms in which it has been released, highlighting the good work of the game on PC but, especially, on Nintendo consoles , where it has become an absolute success accumulating just over 55% of sales. By platforms, the data is as follows:

Windows - 24.4%. Around 70,000 copies during the month of release

3DS - 23.9%

Switch - 17.9%. About 370,000 copies in total; 110,000 in its first month.

Wii U - 14.3%

PS4 - 9.1%

Xbox One, PS Vita, Mac and others - 10, 7%

Such has been the success of this videogame of platforms of retro style that there are four friends of Shovel Knight and the hero, in addition, he has participated as a guest character in games such as Yooka-Laylee . By territories, North America is the market where it has sold the most.
