Layoffs at Robot Entertainment, authors of Orcs Must Die!

The studio has canceled one of the two projects I was working on.

The creators of the popular Orcs Must Die! Unchained have been forced to reduce their workforce to focus all efforts on a single project from which, to date, there are no details. As a result of this decision Robot Entertainment has dismissed 30 employees and canceled one of the two games in which he worked.

"The company has taken the strategic decision to focus on a single project, but unfortunately," they say in their official statement , "this means that we need to reduce our team to fit a single project." We have made the difficult decision to lay off more than 30 of our most talented and passionate employees. "

Robot Entertainment promises to help these workers find "new opportunities", and to that end will promote their work among all those companies that request it. After the recent launch of Hero Academy 2 on mobile devices, the studio will continue to provide new content for this project as well as Orcs Must Die! Unchained. "And we will announce our new game soon," they conclude.
