Today, the highly anticipated Sea of Thieves for Xbox One and Windows Store comes out and I have been able to play it for about 3 hours. Then there are fine details, such as the alert that tells the rudder that it is centered, thanks to a small and subtle vibration.
There is still a lot to navigate
Seeing the final version we can verify that there will be many missions and although the lowest level is simple and short, it seems that with the advance of the game will also increase the complexity and variety, although it is certainly to be seen and it is the great fear that we all have with Sea of Thieves .
Apart from the NPC of the tent that gives you what the main missions look like, there are other types of different or secondary missions that will give us other characters in each outpost, where we accept the missions and take the objects obtained during the crossing . An adventure in company
My three-hour experience was shared with other players and friends in a group of four, with whom the communication was constant and necessary to hoist sails, monitor the surroundings, repair the holes and drain the water or direct the course towards the destination. It is very important to collaborate in a team and to work all together.
The fun is assured and the hours turned into minutes and although I could not try the game alone I think it can be equally fun. The options are all valid, large galeote for three or four people or small boat for one or two friends, each with its pros and cons. The big boats are less manageable but they resist better, on the contrary the small ones are more agile and fast, but as you can imagine the shipwreck is just around the corner.
Some stories of high seas
As a final detail I will tell you that during the game we only met a couple of boats, but we avoided the confrontation, which if we met was the "fearsome" Krakenand without entering spoilers, the meeting seemed disappointing. I get the feeling that the best of Sea of Thieves It will be in the micro stories that we will live in the encounters with other ships and in the small details, to give an example, during the game I made a jump to the sea from a rock of 30 meters high to reach the ship quickly, my character fell just between the rocks without suffering any scratch, the tension of the moment and the tranquility when immersing myself to the depths of the reef, together with the peace to feel the water slowing down little by little the fall was a simply beautiful moment.
During my visit to the sellers of objects, where we can buy aesthetic items, weapons and improvements to the ship, I realized that the prices of everything were excessively high, a detail that together with the amount of gold that we received during the first missions I have to think about two options that I hope Rare have balanced correctly: in more advanced missions the amount of gold we receive increases considerably or we may find ourselves faced with the dreaded problem of repetitiveness to achieve these improvements.
The adventure must continue
