FLIPY'S TESLA! LET'S INVENT THE FUTURE. PSVR ANALYSIS OF A TITLE THAT BRINGS SCIENCE TO THE YOUNGEST!
A game with which to enter the world of Virtual Reality from young
Created and developed in Spain, with the collaboration between the Mediapro Group and the audiovisual producer 100 bullets, Flipy's Tesla! We invent the future arrives to show that you can learn things and have fun at the same time. Animatoon Studios from the hand of Sony , through the Playstation Talents alliance , has managed to take a game to bring the youngest to the world of science and thereby show us what the future is. In addition, they have had the great support of Javier Santaolalla,Doctor in Particle Physics, researcher at CERN and scientific disseminator. We think that this game is not only intended for home games, but that it has a wide potential to become a teaching tool in such schools or similar.
Let's invent the future!
It is our first year at Tesla, the fantastic science school for young apprentices . In it we will be received by other students and teachers with whom we will do tests and scientific experiments . As we complete them, we discover that something is not working correctly to the point of having to help another student. With the help of a teacher and a somewhat strange animal, we have to do more experiments to discover what is happening and why.
During the search throughout the complex, we came across difficulties and riddles that we have to solve on our own without help. Many require us to think a little, but in others it is only necessary to put the mind blank to see that the solution is right in front of us.
Making use of the hands and objects that are given to us in the game, we can move forward to make experiments more and more complicated. In our power we have several tools such as a chest or a flashlight to use when appropriate. More than once, it seems quite clear to us what is the next step if we use the right tool, but to do this we must first move forward to get it
Science and technology
The way in which we move and interact with the environment is quite pleasant . The movement consists of teleportation pointing to an accessible place and we can use objects simply by grasping them. However, you can quickly perceive that the camera has very little angle, often causing us to get a message to refocus or we can not continue playing. As always, this is a matter of habit and not moving much. It has to come with turning your head to look around.
Another important aspect to note, is that due to the teleportation process, the game does not make us dizzy , allowing us to play some more time without getting tired so fast. Even the gestures or actions that are done with the hands are quite well achieved.
When you start playing it, it is clear that both the graphics and the sound are nothing special . The latter is a flat sound without perceiving any 3D aspect to perceive its origin. As for the graphics, we can say that it is a mixture between cartoons and comics. According to the moment we have more detailed colors and objects than others.
Conclusion of Flipy's Tesla! Let's invent the future
In short, we thought it was a good game considering the audience to which it is oriented . At least to use VR you have to be 12 years old, so we have that age. If the game is tested by an adult without taking into account this, it may seem somewhat poor and especially very short, since we have spent it in little more than 20 minutes. However, we have been able to prove it with the ideal audience that has liked it a lot.
Logically, when created in Spain, everything is in our language . As with the aids and videos, in this title we will not have any problems with the language.
The only negative point is the loss of the camera that once we move a bit and forces us to relocate . This, taking into account the age of the person for whom it is intended, does not seem very appropriate and we hope that it will be fixed with a future update.
