CHRONICLE OF THE PRESENTATION OF SEA OF ​​THIEVES IN MADRID!

Today we had an appointment with Xbox Spain to attend the presentation of one of its great exclusives for this 2018: Sea of ​​Thieves . The event took place in the GSIC ( Global Sports Innovation Center ) of Microsoft .



The pirate challenge

Until we moved there to live an exciting adventure among pirates, treasure chests and much rum ... (well, they were bottles of water , but you have to throw imagination). The test that Microsoft had prepared us was to form teams of four players, dress and / or make up like a pirate (the setting is the first, and if you did not wear anything would not let you play) and face a team consisting of three known youtubers .
It was about measuring ourselves against the legendary Captain REVENANT , his bosun Knekro , the filibuster Winghaven and an unnamed fourth pirate who had been rescued from some shabby dump.
In the enclosure we could find the odd treasure, bananas, a makeup and costume area, hostesses dressed as pirates for the occasion and without a doubt the star of the event, a magnificent Xbox One exclusive edition of Sea of ​​Thieves that unfortunately is not for sale and we could not take it from booty (and look what was tried).
Once the teams were formed, each one could enjoy one of the many tests that Sea of ​​Thieves harbors , such as facing an army of skeletons, carrying a valuable treasure on our ship or even seeing who is the first to spot and kill a shark. Each member of the crew is important and coordination between them is essential. Collaborate with the collection of the anchor, the deployment of the sails or that a player takes the helm while another consults the map and the rest worries about the sails or repairing the hull and water bailing are tasks with which we will become familiar quickly.


The experience of playing has been, as you can imagine, as crazy as it is , to imagine the laughs when a whole team jumped to an island to collect the treasure and forgot to drop anchor ... the ship took its course and they had to run to make it Do not get lost on the horizon. The winning team was wearing official Xbox helmets , unfortunately our team had no luck with the sharks, again it will be!

Better with friends

It is true that Sea of ​​Thieves is a game that is enjoyed in company and is a mixture of boredom and despair if you want to play alone. Having a good team of cabin boys and being lucky enough to find healthy people with whom to compete can offer a rewarding experience, which is why the support of the community and of the company itself is important for post-launching they will be two vital aspects so that the health of the game is adequate.


Regarding that, Xbox Spain told us that during these days they will do several maintenance tasks to increase the number of servers and improve them, in order to offer the best possible experience, in addition to a next update in the coming days that will correct several of the errors more prominent as the income of the rewards or experience to our profile, which is now far from being immediate. The game has received a lot of content regarding its beta , which many complained about being somewhat empty, and that can go against Microsoftat the time of convincing the player. Luckily it has the advantage of the theme and the visual section, which enters through the eyes and is a real joy for the senses.
In short, we have had a great time with Sea of ​​Thieves , and we have been left wanting more. The game is now available for Xbox One and Windows 10 with upgrades for Xbox One X like 4K and HDR, and also allows cross-play.
